HARRISBURG – Upon being sworn into office yesterday as a member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, Rep. Jamie Flick (R-Lycoming) thanked the people of the 83rd Legislative District for entrusting him to represent their interests in Harrisburg and at home.
“Yesterday I joined my colleagues in the state House of Representatives in taking the oath of office, and I look forward to serving constituents of the 83rd District in Harrisburg as well as the best interests of Pennsylvanians statewide,” Flick said. “It’s been a privilege to meet and talk with many residents individually and to provide help, answers and guidance to various issues and areas of concern they have all brought to my attention.”
Flick is committed to property tax relief, transparency and reducing the size of government. He is already co-sponsoring several bills that address the following:
• Reducing the size of government by working on legislation to cut the size of the House of Representatives by one-third, from 203 members to 151.
• Making government more transparent by improving the right-to-know law.
• Freezing property taxes for senior citizens.
• Enacting term limits legislation.
“No tax should have the power to leave you homeless, and Pennsylvanians need to be assured politicians are here to serve them, not make a career out of what should be temporary public service. Please follow me on
my new website and
Facebook to keep track of my efforts on your behalf.”
