Flick to Host Second Annual Human Series Expo and Speaker Series Sept. 12
WILLIAMSPORT – To connect families with resources designed to help people live healthy, productive and fulfilling lives, State Rep. Jamie Flick (R-Lycoming/Union) is hosting his second annual Human Services Expo and Speaker Series on Thursday, Sept. 12.
“This year's Human Services Expo and Speaker Series is a fantastic opportunity for our community to connect with agencies dedicated to improving physical and mental health,” said Flick. “With vendors ready to share valuable materials, provide critical information, and answer any questions, this event is a vital resource for families to learn more about the programs and services available in our area. Our well-being is paramount, and this expo is an essential step towards ensuring everyone has access to the support they need.”
The speaker series and expo are free and open to the public at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. The speaker series will be held at the Thompson Professional Development Center, 1067 Hagan Way, and the expo will be held at the Field House, 209 College Ave., Williamsport.
Beginning at 2 p.m., the Speaker Series will feature retired Army Master Sgt. Kevin Bittenbender, Rep. Tarik Khan and Alivia Tagliaferri. The Human Services Expo will begin at 4 p.m. and will feature vendors, organizations, people and programs providing health and human services and support to our community.
Topics and areas of interest include aging; autism; behavioral health; children and adolescents; physical and intellectual disabilities; early intervention; independent living; and medical assistance.
