WILLIAMSPORT – Rep. Jamie Flick (R-Lycoming/Union) says Lycoming County will be getting more than $1.5 million through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) “Green Light-Go” program.
This money will be used to update signal equipment at Little League Boulevard and Hepburn Street, and Market Street (SR 2023) and Little League Boulevard in the City of Williamsport, and for updated signal equipment along Market Street (Route 15) in South Williamsport Borough.
“The Green Light-Go grant will help to alleviate the traffic in some of our busiest intersections and make our area safer for both drivers and pedestrians,” Flick said.
Green Light-Go grants are provided as reimbursement to municipalities for updates to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals. These projects will be funded through the appropriation for fiscal year 2023-24.
