Flick Secures $1.25 Million Loan for Gregg Township Municipal Authority

April 23, 2025

HARRISBURG – Rep. Jamie Flick (R-Lycoming/Union) today announced that the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) awarded a $1.25 million loan to Gregg Township Municipal Authority in Union County for its wastewater plant construction project.

The plan is to install a new disinfection system, which includes the construction of a new building to store and feed sodium hypochlorite and sodium bisulfite into the system. The building will house two bulk chemical storage tanks with secondary containment, chemical feed pump systems, electrical and control systems, and an emergency shower and eyewash station.

“Life is precious, and it’s critical that we do everything possible to act on every opportunity that maximizes our quality of life,” said Flick. “I applaud the Gregg Township Municipal Authority for working so diligently with me on this important issue. Today is a great day for the community, and this will go a long way to ensuring safety standards are met.”

Founded in 1988, PENNVEST provides grants and low-interest loans for design, engineering and construction of publicly and privately owned drinking water distribution and treatment facilities, as well as storm water and wastewater projects.
