December 17, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Jamie Flick (R-Lycoming/Union) is pleased to announce more than $5.7 million has been awarded to nonprofits serving residents in Lycoming and Union counties. The money comes from the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP), a tax credit initiative that encourages businesses to invest in projects that strengthen communities and improve quality of life for residents.
“These organizations are doing incredible work to meet the needs of our communities,” said Flick. “It’s inspiring to see so many local organizations working together with private partners to meet real needs in our community. These investments will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents across Lycoming and Union Counties.”
The organizations receiving money through the NAP include:
• Central Pennsylvania Food Bank - $5.65-million. Through a network of over 1,200 partners, it plans to provide more than 70 million pounds of food to 634,000 individuals across 27 counties.
• American Rescue Workers Williamsport - $7,150. It will launch a Mobile Food Pantry to deliver a three-day supply of food to low-income residents in Lycoming County. The project will serve more than 1,000 people and distribute more than 59,000 pounds of food.
• Lycoming County SPCA - $36,000. The agency plans to use the funding to help further control the area pet population.
• Lycoming-Clinton Counties Commission for Community Action (STEP) Inc. - $67,500. It will use the money to support its Supportive Housing and Master Leasing Programs, which offer intensive case management and direct housing assistance to help families facing a crisis, guiding them toward stable housing and self-sufficiency.
